As promised, Joelle LaGuerre and I are bringing you some new programs this fall to follow up on our Black Women in the Workforce, Don’t Just Survive––THRIVVE, For the past several years it has been on my mind to create a psychologically safe space for Black women, and at the urging of clients, friends, and family members, it is finally happening. Joelle and I recognized we struck a chord with Black professional women, and as a result, we are offering two additional brand new workshops to support Black women in the workforce. It has been incredibly healing for me personally to work with Joelle to develop workshops like this.
Our Restorative Rituals workshop will be held November 9 from 5:30-7 pm eastern. This is a free workshop for Black women who are seeking healing and community. Ayurvedic Health Coach, Marva Makle, will guide us on this self-care journey. Many of us hold a ton of tension in our bodies, hearts, and minds as a protective response and to “armor up” to face the microaggressions and inequities we face in the workplace. It adds up. It builds up. Microaggressions quickly turn to macroaggressions.
Along with Marva, we will discuss strategies and tools to support you in decreasing stress and increasing wellness. Join us and jump into the THRIVVE community we are creating to help support Black professional women navigate the unique challenges we face, often as “onlys” in our workplaces. If this sounds like you or someone you know, please share about this important workshop. We would love to see you there and start our healing journey together.
