In Gratitude
Did you know gratitude isn’t a thing, it’s an energetic state? One of the fastest ways to shift your energy into a more open one is to identify things you’re grateful for. Research has shown that expressing gratitude improves physical health, relationships, leadership. It can be as simple as writing down three things you’re grateful for every day for 21 days in a row, which will significantly increase your level of optimism––and it holds for the next six months! I start each day writing down at least 3 things I am grateful for. And I’m sharing a few with you…
I’m so grateful for this time in California. It’s nice to have quality face to face time with my family. I’m so appreciative of Zoom and FaceTime and all the ways technology has kept us close, but there’s nothing like looking directly into the eyes of your loved ones and hugging them!
I’m grateful to make my own schedule and decide when, how much, and who to work with. It makes a month like this one possible, where I’m mixing in work and play so I can reconnect with my family.
I’m grateful I stepped out of my comfort zone to focus on Calhoun Coaching & Consulting full time last year. I learn new things almost daily, and I’m always up for trying new things and improving the way I work and what I do.
I’m grateful to focus on my own learning and development and prioritize obtaining certifications and gaining additional knowledge and training for coaches. I also continue to learn, unlearn, and relearn about diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging. It’s a journey I am committed to.
I am grateful to collaborate with amazing coaches and friends to develop workshops and deliver client retreats. It’s so much fun to work with people who complement each other and enjoy bouncing ideas around together.
I am grateful for my clients. Thank you for trusting me and for inspiring me every day.
I hope you take some time to reflect on what you’re grateful for in an effort to shift your energy and enhance your outlook. Please share with me! I’d love to hear what made your list!
