Grateful and Thankful
For the past several years, I’ve had a daily gratitude practice. I start each day writing in my gratitude journal, and I end each day reflecting on what made the day amazing. In the beginning I would physically write in a journal, and now I’ve hopped on the technology bandwagon, and I use an app to track my gratitude.
A dear friend and I share our daily gratitudes for a combination of accountability and connection. It’s a nice peek into each other’s lives since we don’t live near each other anymore. I feel like I gain some insight into what’s going on in her world, a little more than our texts and calls between visits.
During this time of year, as we flow through the season of being grateful and thankful, I want to express my gratitude to my family, friends, colleagues, clients, and potential clients. I appreciate you reading my newsletter/blog, your DMs and comments on social media (please follow me on Instagram and Facebook!), and your emails of support.
It is always a pleasure when you reach out because you like what you’ve read. I especially enjoy hearing from someone who’s quietly reading my posts and newsletter, who, one day, seemingly out of the blue, contacts me to discuss how coaching might help them with their current challenge.
I feel so fortunate to have such an amazing network. I’ve been able to grow and build my business largely due to referrals and word of mouth. I am grateful for the referrals to friends and colleagues who could benefit from my coaching and consulting services.
This year one of my favorite text messages was from a long-time friend who referred me to someone for coaching. Her text read “BTW, it was your consistent posting that made you surface for me as a referral. As I was in the process looking for a business consultant recommendation, your latest post came up and I said ‘duh, Asila!’ So there you have it. Sometimes even a 23 year friendship needs that social push. Now you are sealed in my mind no longer as Asila/HR, you are Asila/coach. Congratulations”.
A big thank you to my clients, as they remind me every day why I do this work. It brings me so much happiness to see others reach their goals, and I thoroughly enjoy watching my clients thrive and surprise themselves throughout the coaching process and beyond. I’m grateful to you for choosing to work with me.
Wishing all of you a happy, safe, and fun holiday season. I’ll be celebrating part of the holidays with my Family of Choice this year. I could not be more grateful or excited about having some downtime and delicious food with my loved ones. I hope you’ll also be doing something you love with people you love. Thank you again for your support!
