Fall Forward
Rather than fall back, why not try falling forward? What do you keep putting off doing that would take your life or career to the next level? Is there something that keeps nagging at you to change, but you’re feeling stuck on how to move forward?
I recently met with a potential new client who is trying to decide if coaching is right for her at this time. She’s thinking about the next phase in her career, and more specifically about making a total career change in the future. She isn’t looking to change careers immediately, but she’s certain she wants the opportunity to recreate herself and continue to build her skills, resume, and knowledge in a different industry at some point.
This woman is a highly successful, intelligent and talented individual. She climbed from the bottom to the top of her profession, and she has what it takes to reinvent herself in a new field. She’s being proactive and attempting to fall forward by planning for her next career move.
Instead of diving into coaching without consideration, she’s doing some personal development to get clear on exactly what she wants. She’s looking inside to find out who she is and what she wants to accomplish in the next chapter of her professional life. I’m impressed by her dedication to getting it right. When we talk, she’s self-reflective and future oriented. And when she’s ready for coaching, she’ll call me.
Are you ready to fall forward? What future do you want to create? What will it take to get there? Let’s discuss how I can help you achieve your goals. I work with leaders who are ready for and committed to change.
