Race Matters: Courageous Conversations for Leaders Group Coaching Program

Are you a leader who wants to effectively communicate with your team about matters of diversity, equity, and inclusion, and you are struggling with what to say? Do you find yourself paralyzed by the topic of racism?  

If you’re unsure of what to say, what questions to ask, and how to listen better as a leader and an ally, this Group Coaching Program is for you. 

Our Group Coaching Program will help you develop as a leader and cultivate meaningful relationships with your team through the lens of diversity, equity, and inclusion. You will discover what’s behind those uncomfortable feelings and what stands in the way of you having productive conversations and forming deeper relationships with your employees. 

In this program you will lean into the vulnerability required to get comfortable with discomfort in a safe and collaborative environment with other leaders.

The result? Authentic leadership, productive conversations, trusting relationships, and significant allyship.

We’ll start on Thursday, January 21, 2021 for 11 bi-weekly sessions on Thursdays 4:00 – 5:30 pm ET. Detailed schedule will be provided.

Sign up now…we are limiting each group to 10 participants – and minimum 6.

What will you get?

o 11 bi-weekly 90 minute Group Coaching Sessions where you will bring real-life situations to discuss and resolve in real-time

o In each session two of the group will receive 20 minute, 1:1 targeted coaching

o Each participant will receive two 1-hour private 1:1 coaching sessions

o An opportunity to collaborate with like-minded leaders to discover and learn from one another

Who are we?

Together, Mike Brown and Asila Calhoun have over 60 years of Human Resources experience, over 50 years of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion experience, 45+ years of Leadership Development and over 10 years of Leadership Coaching experience. Their mutual respect for one another and their experience of collaborating on a shared vision drew them to create this Group Coaching Program. Asila and Mike’s ability to connect and build rapport with others creates a psychologically safe environment where leaders open up and comfortably share their experiences. Their ability to see people as individuals and meet them where they are accelerates growth and learning. Their commitment to cultivating leaders who effectively communicate and create diverse, equitable, and inclusive teams is the foundation for this group coaching program.

Mike is a leadership and certified career coach with a passion for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. Mike is a versatile, collaborative, results-driven coach known for building relationships and his straight-talk approach. Mike has successfully coached leaders from the C-Suite and Global Sales Executives to new managers.

Asila is an ICF certified leadership coach whose business and executive coaching practice focuses on partnering with new leaders, emerging leaders, and executives who are ready for change. Asila has a direct yet supportive style that facilitates self-discovery and growth in her clients. Asila is recognized as a coach who deeply listens to what her clients say – and do not say, inquiring about what she’s sensing while offering a different perspective.
