Create An Outstanding 2019
It’s time to set your intentions for 2019! The new year is a great time to turn the page and set your trajectory on a new path forward. What professional goals or intentions do you have for the year? Personally, I love the freshness of a new year and the ability to focus on my career goals and development with a different perspective.
Take twenty minutes and reflect on what you want to prioritize professionally this year. Here are some questions I’m asking myself in order to gain clarity on my goals and intentions for 2019, and I encourage you to ask yourself.
What do I want to work on for my own development?
How are my behaviors impacting others?
How aware am I of my own triggers and reactions?
How effective am I in dealing with conflict?
What do I need to do in order to move to the next level with a promotion or a new position?
Perhaps you want to focus specifically on developing your leadership skills. What kind of leader do you want to be? How effectively do you lead your team? You could create a goal for improving your comfort level and confidence for having difficult (and necessary) conversations or a goal for increasing your commitment to developing the talent of your team. What are possible outcomes you would like for yourself or your team this year?
