Creating Your Vision for the New Year
I love the new year! There’s something exciting about having a fresh start, a blank slate, and the chance to try something new. A brand new decade feels even more exciting and open for possibilities!
What intentions or goals do you have for the new year? I like starting the new year with goals, objectives or intentions for the year. I typically reflect on what’s important to me, then get still and really think about what I want to accomplish and why. I have found setting 1-3 goals or intentions works best for me. However, I don’t want to lose sight of other things I want to create or attract.
This year I’m considering creating a vision board to create a visual representation of my goals for the year and the decade. When I have made vision boards in the past, they’ve been so powerful, it’s almost been scary! Magical stuff happens!
Regardless of whether you decide to create a vision board, I highly encourage you to start your year by setting some goals for the new year and/or new decade. Write down your goals so you can revisit and reflect on them throughout the year. GOAL and PLAN are not four-letter-words! They can be incredibly meaningful if you put some time into realizing what is important to you to focus your time and energy.
If your goals or plans include making a shift personally or professionally and you need support in achieving them, consider coaching.
